Technology Strategy & Transformation for Organizations
I help organizations decide what to do with technology, then help them do it: AI, cybersecurity, digital transformation, and the infrastructure underneath.

About Daniel Legall
Daniel Legall is a technology strategy consultant who works with boards, CEOs, CIOs and senior leaders across SMB and mid-market organizations. He helps them decide what to do with technology, then helps them do it: AI, cybersecurity, digital transformation and the infrastructure underneath. That judgment comes from a decade running the systems he now advises on.
His background spans 10+ years of hands-on technology leadership across Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Guyana, USA, and the wider Caribbean and LATAM region. He uses AI tools daily in his own consulting practice and helps organizations adopt them with governance built in from the start.

Areas of Focus
What I actually work on, built up over a decade of running technology in telecommunications, enterprise, and public sector environments.
AI Consulting & Transformation
Practical AI consulting for organizations ready to move past experimentation: strategy, tool selection, workflow integration, agentic AI, and governance built in from day one.
Cybersecurity & Risk
Security programs from gap assessment through compliance readiness on NIST CSF, CIS Controls, ISO 27001 and SOC 2, including incident response and the security questions AI now raises.
Digital Transformation
Modernizing how organizations run: platforms, service management, workflow engineering and customer journeys, sequenced so the business keeps moving while things change.
Network & Infrastructure Strategy
Enterprise and carrier-grade architecture, cloud and connectivity, and datacenter modernization. CCDE-level design for the foundations everything else runs on.
Technology Professional Services
Hands-on delivery across all of the above: assessments, architecture reviews, vendor selection and bids, and engagements run end to end from scoping through handover.
Selected Work
Three projects that show how I work: what was at stake, the decisions that mattered, and what happened after I left the room.
GOVERNMENT · NETWORK TRANSFORMATION
Re-basing the core a government runs on
The Government of Bermuda's core network carried Fire, Police, Immigration, Customs, Finance and Parliament, and it was failing. As Lead Architect I re-platformed 60+ sites across 12+ ministries and migrated them live, service by service, with no sustained outage.

Building a security capability into a business
ATN International had four markets, rising customer demand for security services, and no group-wide capability to deliver them. I architected one from zero, and it became both the group's security backbone and a revenue line.

From network risk to recurring revenue
A four-market carrier faced attacks far larger than anything it could absorb. Rather than build scrubbing capacity, I paired Cloudflare's global network with a Kentik control plane we owned, then turned the protection into a multi-tenant service customers could buy.

“We brought Daniel in when our board started asking hard questions about cybersecurity risk that nobody on the leadership team could confidently answer. Within the first month, he had a clear picture of where we stood and a practical roadmap that made sense for our size and budget. The board finally felt like someone was speaking their language.”
Chief Executive Officer
Caribbean Telecommunications Provider
“What stood out was that Daniel actually understood our environment. He was not trying to sell us a framework off a shelf. He dug into how our network was built, where the real gaps were, and gave us a plan we could execute with the team we had. We have worked with consultants before who hand you a report and disappear. This was different.”
VP of Technology
Multi-Market Enterprise Group
“Our datacenter modernization had been stalled for over a year before Daniel got involved. He cut through the vendor noise, helped us rethink the architecture, and got the project moving again. Six months later we were running on modern infrastructure with proper segmentation and redundancy. Should have called him sooner.”
